Remote Work

All participants will need their own remote jobs once the program begins. Remote Year is not a job provider. If you don’t already have a remote job, we highly recommend you start by working with your current employer to find a way to keep your current job and transition to remote, or you can get a new job that is remote for the program.

Do I need to come for the whole year?

Yes – we are looking for participants who are excited about the experience of traveling with other smart and interesting people for the full year.

Will there be breaks in the program to go on vacations or visit family?

Participants can go on vacation whenever they please, and rejoin the group wherever we are at the time.

Do I have to be from the United States?

No – Remote Year aims to have a diverse set of participants!

Do I have to speak English?

You do not need to be fluent in English to join the program, however, you must have basic English conversational skills in order to interact with your fellow remotes.
