Paris: Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Paris Residency 2018 for NYC Artists

Paris, France: Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Paris Residency 2018

The residency program was founded, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of the City of Paris, to foster a cross-cultural exchange between Paris and New York City.

The 6-month residency provides studio space and financial resources to an artist who will both learn from and share their work with the community at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris is situated in the heart of the Marais district in Central Paris, a dynamic quarter swarming with art galleries, restaurants, museums, and shops, a favorite destination for Parisians. Residents may pursue their artistic practice and develop their creative techniques for the duration of their stay at Cité des Arts. The site includes 270 individual live/work spaces, an exhibition area where artists can display their works, and an auditorium where artists can perform concerts. Since it’s opening in 1965, Cité Internationale des Arts has accommodated more than 18,000 artists from all over the world.
