The National Geographic Channel’s “Expedition Granted” Contest begins on or about June 9, 2014 at 12:01 a.m. EST and ends on September 29, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. EST. During the Promotion Period, entrants will have the opportunity to submit a video and complete an online contestant profile page and application (collectively, a “Submission”) that describes the entrant’s proposed expedition and to submit the Submission for consideration as more fully set forth below. The Promotion Period consists of a submission phase that begins June 23, 2014 at 12:01a.m. EST and ends on August 31, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. EST and an online voting phase that begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on September 16, 2014 and ends at 11:59 pm. ET on September 29, 2014 (the “Voting Period”) during which up to ten (10) finalists (each, a “Finalist”) will be selected from the eligible Submissions received and will be posted online for others to view and judge

The Grand Prize winner will receive a fifty thousand dollar ($50,000) grant solely for use in connection with the Expedition described in their winning Submission. The Grand Prize winner will also be featured in various publicity outlets, including but not limited to a :30 second spot on the National Geographic Channel, a National Geographic press release and the National Geographic social media pages. During his or her Expedition, the Grand Prize winner must photograph and/or videotape his or her experience with the intent to provide compelling documentation of the Expedition (the “Expedition Work Product”). The Expedition Work Product must be provided to Sponsor within three (3) months from the start of the Expedition.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter, visit the web site www.expeditiongranted.com and complete the contestant profile page and application found on the Website with the information requested, and follow the instructions to create and upload your Submission.

In addition, the Submission must meet with technical specifications provided on the Website and comply with the following “Submission Requirements”: (i) the Submission must be two 2 minutes or less in length video should be 5GB or less, and formatted using a recommended file type (MOV, MPEG, AVI, or MP4); (ii) the Submission must be the submitting entrant’s original, previously unpublished work and not feature or focus on any material owned or controlled by third parties.

Only legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are twenty one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry are eligible to enter.
