France: Artists, Writers, Musicians & Filmmakers invited to apply for creative residencies at La Napoule Art Foundation – Chateau de la Napoule. La Napoule Art Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 1951 by an expatriate American, Marie Clews, as a memorial to her late husband. Together the couple spent 17 years restoring the Château de La Napoule, a medieval castle, which now houses the Clews Collection and hosts international programs in the arts.
Residencies at the Château de La Napoule offer artists an ideal retreat to explore and exchange ideas. Situated on the Mediterranean just outside Cannes, France, the location offers residents spectacular views and the inspiring light of the Côte d’Azur.
Residents are housed in single rooms in the recently renovated Villa Marguerite, located just across the street from the Château. Rooms are equipped with private baths and have sea and garden views. Wireless Internet is available in the Villa’s common areas.
LNAF will provide breakfast and dinner during weekdays. Meals, often held in the Château’s Gothic Dining Room offer the opportunity for exchange and community. For lunches and weekend meals, the kitchen in the Villa Marguerite will be at your disposal. It is also an easy walk to numerous restaurants and cafes in the village.
Apply by 9/15.
